End-time King of the North
The former king of the North was from the former Persian Empire covering the present day Iran (Persia), Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.
After the Islamic Revolution which toppled the Shah of Iran, Mohammed Reza Pahlavi on February 11, 1979, Iran became a Shia Islamic State.
ISIS, a Sunni jihadist group, emerged from a merger between an Iraqi al-Qaeda ally and the defeated Iraqi Baathist regime of Saddam Hussein (aided by US in 2003).
Iran, an opponent of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), is fighting the group in both Syria and Iraq.
On June 29, 2014 ISIS leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi announced the formation of a caliphate stretching from Aleppo in Syria to Diyala in Iraq, and renamed the group the Islamic State.
A U.S.-led coalition began airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq on August 7, 2014 and by 2019 ISIS was defeated.
Present Day Northern Kingdom
Today, Iran has great influence over Syria, Iraq and Lebanon. The West accuses Iran of using their proxies (Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Shia Iranian backed Militia in both Syria and Iraq) to attack their military bases there. The West believe that Iran finances Hezbollah.
The strong ally of Iran is Russia with possibly China supporting as well.
End-time King of the South
The former king of the South ruled over Egypt and Israel. Egypt was the only Arab nation that signed a peace treaty with Israel since 1979.
Note In 1989 both Egypt and Israel became a Major non-NATO ally of the United States. *Isn't this the Southern king Alliance?*
The only other Arab nation who signed the peace treaty with Israel was Jordan in 1994. Before 2020, the rest of the Arab world was officially at war with Israel.
In 2015, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stated that Egypt has no relations with Iran on the Egyptian Extra News channel.
The allies of Israel are the West, led by the US, EU, Australia (all are depraved former Christian nations).
Enmity of Iran and Israel
Iran had declared publicly that the first atomic bomb they produce will be used to wipe Israel from the map and the second will be used to wipe out Saudi Arabia.
Israel also declared that they will prevent Iran from producing any atomic or nuclear bomb. Iran's recent concentration of uranium to a higher percentage is worrying Israel and before Iran can make the atomic bomb, Israel vowed to destroy all its nuclear sites. The Iranian had built all nuclear sites deep underground which poses a great obstacle for Israel.
Present Military Situation
Israel has powerful and invincible allies led by US and the west, while Iran is considerably weaker, powerless and without any WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction). It is surrounded by US military bases (fully armed and possibly with WMD) situated in almost all the Arab nations. Even Syria (2) and Iraq (5) have US bases.
US has stationed the Carrier fleet Gerald Ford in East Mediterranean to protect Israel from any military attack. It has also stationed the 5th and 6th Carrier fleets in the Red Sea, Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea ready to attack Iran when called upon. All these Carrier fleets are fully armed with sophisticated weaponry and WMD.
UK sent 2 warships, Italy sent 1 warship and even Australia has sent a warship to the middle East to help Israel.
Final or End-time War
Dan 11:29 "At the appointed time he (king of the North) shall return and go toward the south; but it shall not be like the former or the latter."
With the US invincible military might surrounding Iran which was classified by US as 'the axis of evil', an imminent attack of Iran is becoming a sure thing. This will caused Iran to send all its military arsenals on suicide missions to destroy Israel, the US fleets and bases. The US forces will destroy all the Iranian arsenal and will this be the end of Iran, the Axis of evil?
Definitely No!!! - but this will be the start of World War 3.
